Courses take place in my newly built, sunlit studio, part of a converted 18th century farmhouse, set in the idyllic rural landscape of County Clare, Ireland. A couple of hours drive from Dublin, and not far from Shannon airport, this is an area of great natural beauty, surrounded by mountains and lakes and just an hour from the Atlantic Coast and the unique Burren landscape. It is an area renowned for it's fishing, hill walking, inland water cruising and traditional music, offering a wide range of enjoyable activities to anyone visiting the area.
Courses are designed to meet your needs, at whatever level, from beginners to advanced. You can also request dates other than those advertised, if you have specific times or techniques you wish to explore. Please contact me to discuss this further.
The studio atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and the emphasis is on enjoying the creative process, whilst producing work that is beautiful and interesting to take home with you. Participants are encouraged to think creatively and be experimental in their approach.
Courses run with a minimum of two and maximum of six people, ensuring each participant receives individual attention.
A range of screen print and textile techniques are offered, including photographic screen processing (one of the few facilities in the country), ensuring a high standard of work.

Create and print your own designs onto fabric and/or paper, explore colour mixing and multiple layering through this ancient technique. No experience required.
Cost €160 including all materials and farmhouse lunch.

An introduction to silk-screen printing onto fabric and/or paper. You will design and print your own artworks or repeat prints to take home. Fun and easy, ideal for beginners and open to any age.

This course is designed to cover the key processes involved in producing your own design on fabric. The course offers flexibility and allows for individual choice, no previous experience needed.
Over the five days you will be introduced to a variety of techniques, to develop your design and print skills. Processes will include:
- Understanding the principles of screen-printing
- Making you own paper stencils and printing on fabric
- Mixing printing inks and understanding colour in print
- Dyeing fabric
- Developing a design and translating it onto acetate film
- Transferring the design onto a screen photographically
- Printing a range of samples
- Lascaux/Speedball screen developing method
Cost €400 including all materials.

LECTURES AND TALKS
I am available for talks and lectures. I give talks about my practice to guilds, community groups, arts organisations, colleges and universities. I am is happy to travel outside of Ireland. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

I am passionate about sharing skills and facilitating other peoples' creativity, which has led me towards work in the wider community, both in the area of education (with all age groups and at all levels) and as an Arts Administrator.
