Selected pieces from my 2023 solo show, entitled ‘Distant Horizons’, at Timeless Textiles, NSW Australia.

My work has been consistently based around birds, their movement and the space they inhabit, how they interact with the land and seascapes of the west of Ireland, and the boundless arial freedom they experience. It is also about something deeper and more universal, personal freedom beyond the material and how through creativity and imagination we can access and express the deepest part of ourselves. I hope that the work in the collection ‘Distant Horizons’ will help to remind us of our connection to the natural world and explore our sense of inner freedom, which is boundless and beyond measure.
