WILD ATLANTIC COASTS 2019-2020

Living not far from the Atlantic west coast of Ireland and loving natures energetic sculpting of the coastline through wind and water, I cannot fail to be affected by my environment. Over the last two years, inspired also by the work of the English painter William Turner I have tried to capture the skies, landscape, energy, colour and forces I have experienced along the coast in my new collection of Textile Artworks.

I include suggestions of birds in motion, minimalistic representations alongside hints of landforms, rock formations such as seen in the unique limestone area of The Burren, mountain ranges with their ever subtle and changing palette, a drama unfolding daily, hourly and minute by minute.
